Favourites of 2013

2013 is well and truly over and with that I've made some new make-up discoveries and also rekindled my love for old brands that I used to use. Looking back over 2013 and also some of my monthly favourite posts, I have put together my overall favourites of last year.

First I'll start off with Yankee candles, which has been one of my favourites of 2013. Towards the end of the year I rediscovered Yankee candles and just fell in love. I'm now pretty obsessed and have enough to keep me going for awhile! My favourite has to be Fireside Treats, it smell LUSH! At the moment I have a cold so can't enjoy this candle but will be burning it as soon as I get better!

Next is my MUA undress me too palette. I never thought much of it when it first came out and was hyped up. However I caved in during the year and have loved it ever since. It has really helped me to experiment with different shades and create different looks. I'm very much into my neutral shades so this palette is perfect and CHEAP! I'm actually in need of a new one as I'm hitting the pan on my favourite shades so may actually try out a different MUA palette.

Rimmel wake me up foundation and concealer had played a big part in my make-up rountine last year. I love the fact that the foundation is light on the skin and doesn't feel all greasy and heavy. Plus it's just the right coverage for me. Not to mention the concealer helps to brighten up my under eyes which is just what I need with my dark circles. I've repurchased both of them again this year and will continue to use them until I find another foundation and concealer that top them.

Revlon lip butters were so popular last year and I know why. They had some amazing shades and not to mention they were very moisturising and didn't dry my lips out. I have about 5 all together now and my favourite of them all is "Berry Smoothie". I love the shade, it's a pretty much everyday colour you can wear which is what I love. I don't think I've ever used a lipstick so much and may actually use it until it runs out which is a first!

Now before I started using L'oreal micellar water I was using basic make-up wipes not knowing that they were a sin with most bloggers. After hearing about this I had to give it a try and I loved it. I loved how it makes my skin feel fresh and clean not to mention the cheap price tag! I feel much better not using make-up wipes and I've noticed a difference in my skin. I've recently purchased some other L'oreal products so look forward to using them this year.

Last but not least is one of my favourite perfumes from 2013, Juicy Couture- Viva la Juicy. I used it loads last year and only have a tiny bit left now. I wouldn't say this is an everyday perfume you can use but more for a evening or special occasion. It's a pretty strong scent compared to other perfumes I have and is very sweet. If you have read my blog you will know I'm very much into my sweet and fruity fragrances. I look forward to seeing what new perfumes come out this year as I'm always on the hunt for new fragrances.

So that is the end of my favourites for 2013, It was hard picking my favourites as there are so many great products I have tried but these stuck out to me the most. I look forward to all the new products which may come out this year and hopefully some of them will be in my favourites at the end of the year.

What are you favourites for 2013?

  4. I'm quite curious to try out the mua undress palette, I want to experiment with nudes but don't want to spend too much money on something like the naked palettes, so may try it out. :)
